How to Hide Files and Folders in Android
Method 1: By Creating a Dedicated Folder
In this method a new folder has to be created which will be automatically hidden. And you can store any of your photos, files and videos by name.
Step 1: Open the File Manager app on your smartphone
Step 2: Now Find Create a New Folder Option.
Step 2: Now Find Create a New Folder Option.
Step 3: Now type name of the folder.
Step 4: In order to hide the folder type dot (.) before the name of the folder.
Step 5: Now transfer all the data (images, videos etc) that you want to hide in this folder.
Method 2: Hiding a Folder that is already in Your Mobile
With the help of this method, you can hide an existing folder in your mobile such as DCIM or Whatsapp media folder.
Step 1: Open the File Manager app on your smartphone.
Step 2: Go to that folder that you want to hide.
Step 3: Open the folder and tap the ‘Create New File’ option
Step 4: Enter the file name ‘.nomedia’.
Step 5: Now close the file manager and restart your phone.
Step 6: Thats it your folder will det hidden.
How to access Hidden File and Folder
- Go to the file manager app and select the ‘Show hidden files’ option in the settings.
- Go to the folder location to view hidden folders.
- Delete the ‘.nomedia’ file created in Method 2 from the folder.
